Trinity Presbyterian Church will have a Sunday School unit on “Understanding to Alleviate Local Poverty and Racism” on October 1, 8, and 15 at 11:00 a.m. Becky and Cade Smith will lead. Adults, college, and high school are invited to participate. Sessions will be a mix of information, activities, and sharing. Participants will leave with a better understanding of privilege, poverty, and decisions made in a scarcity mindset (Oct. 1); hidden rules of class, resources, and language (Oct. 8); and strategies for local communities to address poverty and racism (Oct. 15).
